#2 - White House Insensitivity

The best of Obama's supporters and the worst of his enemies cannot help but pay attention to the constant double-talk that comes out of Obama's mouth.

The president claims to be such a huge advocate for children. The children in America are too easily victimized and Obama capitalizes on that fact by using them as political props. After all, he is a father...well...he might not really spend a significant amount of time with his own children and he may take vacations separate from them, any chance he gets, but he does have the title of "father."

However, this is the time of year when children get to take an exciting school trip. Many go to Washington D.C. to see a few of America's more iconic images. These trips are voluntary, each child's trip is funded by their own family.

In our family, years and years ago, we sent our oldest daughter on a school trip from Texas to Washington D.C. and the trip cost about $800.

These trips are arranged at the start of the school year, so for many months, these children study about and look forward to the sights they will finally get to see in person. Therefore, the families that are letting their children go on a school trip to Washington D.C. might be a lot like our own, making true sacrifices so the child can have the opportunity to learn a great deal while having fun. Many of these families are sacrificing their family vacation so this one child can go on this important school trip.

And this is where I feel sick --- the Sequestration has created cutbacks. Less money means changes are required to adjust to the cutback. I have found it appalling that the White House, the place that claims to LOVE children, is the place that has found it easiest to cut off children from tours.

Everyone knows the White House could have adjusted a cutback in another area so that the White House tours could continue, but Obama again used the children to try to make a point. There is no decency when it comes to his political grand-standing.

His administration didn't work hard enough to avoid this scenario that negatively impacts the children of our nation who are learning and who had been eager to see the White House.

He's created a generation of children who will remember Obama as being the President who closed the White House doors in their face.

White House tours usually end up with a tour of the East Room which is the largest room in the White House and is perfect for entertaining. It's a room perfect for big dinners, press conferences, or special ceremonies. This part of the White House tour is impressive because most children cannot imagine such a glorious room as the East Room.

However, with this Spring Break now passing us by and untold numbers of school groups and individual groups being denied the chance to see the White House, there are a lot of people saddened that their special travels did not include the White House. For many children on their Washington D.C. trip, this would have been their only opportunity to see the White House. But, does Obama really care?

I guess Obama figured that if all those kids could not get an eyeball full of the White House and the East Room, then he better go ahead an take advantage of the down-time because the East Room must have been looking a little lonely.

So, the President utilized his great wisdom and instead of allowing the children of this nation to visit the White House and to get a glance of the East Room after their parents saved money all year long, Obama thought it would be a good time and a fantastic opportunity, at least, for him and his elite group, to have a private bash in the East Room over this Spring Break week.

Heck, if the little children could not come to him, at least star-studded singers and Hollywood's glamour could make good use of that East Room. Oh, and the truth is...aren't singers and stars so much more fun than snotty-nosed little children making the carpets of the White House sullied?

So, this week, Obama and Michelle put on, yet another, intimate elitist party with a stage set for a very personal concert. Performers such as Justin Timberlake, Queen Latifa, and Al Green among others could cater their talents directly to Obama and Michelle who were sitting dead front center row and giggling as if they just robbed more tax-payers.

Of course, there will be people who make excuses about this private concert of 1%'er's being privately funded, but that still doesn't erase the fact that nobody provides security for the president except WE THE PEOPLE through our tax-dollars. And another issue...the East Room needed lights, special effects, sound system operation and the public bathrooms still needed water, soap, toilet paper and who knows what else is there for the taking at the EXPENSE of the TAX-PAYERS.

However, the worst part of all of this is that the East End room will not be seen by children who can never reverse time and re-do this one-time in their lives. Untold numbers of kids missed out on seeing the White House in person, and they missed out on getting to hold the image of the East Room in their mind's eye for the rest of their life.

However, our president, in all his sensitivity, showed great empathy by essentially throwing himself another big party in the room that America's children would have enjoyed simply glancing over.

Some kids who weren't allowed into the White House
on their tour of Washington D.C.

I suppose taking the White House away from the children worked out for Obama. Maybe he had other plans all along and didn't need our children in his way. The East Room apparently had some big plans in the making during Spring Break that catered to Obama, not the needy public. If Obama had the choice, let's think about it, Obama's chance to be with stars or Obama's chance to please deserving children of our nation? Hmmm.

Obama's need to feel special and privileged wins out! Surprise!

Did we really expect our president to be sensitive to the children on Spring Break this week who had studied the White House and had learned of the great East Room, but have been given detour sight-seeing options because of budget concerns? How do we explain to our children that this president doesn't seem to have the budgetary common sense to find a way to continue tours?

How can we explain to the American People that Obama is "serious" about these budget cuts, yet the next evening we see him, yet again, living it up in the White house. It's hard to comprehend that our country is experiencing such hardship and severe economic difficulties with high numbers of unemployed, yet our "sensitive" president talks about living in the White House with its cut backs, as if he's also suffering and then he blows his lies. H can't help it. He's not made to be Presidential; he's made to PARTY!

Another lavish party is no big deal to Obama...the dollar has unlimited value to a man like him!

Yet, the day after his lavish private concert in the East Room, he wakes up prepare to go stand in the Rose Garden to discuss the presentation of his laughable budget that is two months late and he then has the audacity to talk about how he understands the woes of Americans.

Geesh President Obama, go back to bed, we can all see that your night of partying and that your excitement at being a 1%'er star-lover has been overly tiring.

Somehow, I don't think he understands our woes. I don't think he's really lived a life of much woes at all. Most people who are blessed enough to received an Ivy League education are not too woe-landed kind of people, but he keeps trying to trick us into thinking he's suffering as well.

Somehow, I doubt that hardly anything Obama utters is true. And I am fairly positive he doesn't give a rat's ass about the children of this nation, except when it suits him.

However, I am fairly confident that Obama swoons over Hollywood and trips all over himself.
